Terms & Conditions.

Starter consumer service terms for professional review before launch.

1. Business details

The service is supplied by the legal entity trading as Emergency HandyMan. Insert the legal company name, company number (if applicable), trading/registered address and contact email before launch.

2. Emergency bookings

An online form submission is a request for service. A booking is only confirmed when we expressly confirm acceptance and engineer availability. Payment alone does not guarantee immediate dispatch unless we have confirmed the booking.

3. Charges

Mon–Fri emergency attendance during 6 PM–2 AM starts at £200 including the first hour, with labour from the second hour at £120 per hour. Weekend attendance starts from £229 including the first hour, with labour from the second hour at £150 per hour. The weekend starting fee may vary by location and job type and will be confirmed before dispatch. Parts, materials, parking, congestion charges, specialist equipment and other agreed costs are additional unless expressly included.

4. Additional work

Where additional work or materials are required, the customer should be told the price or pricing basis before additional chargeable work proceeds. Separate non-urgent work should not be treated as part of an urgent repair without agreement.

5. Access and customer responsibilities

The customer must provide accurate information, safe and lawful access to the property and disclose known hazards. The customer must have authority to instruct work at the property.

6. Safety and regulated work

Gas work must only be carried out by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. We may refuse or stop work where conditions are unsafe, unlawful or outside the engineer's competence.

7. Quality of service

Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill as required by applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Cancellations and refunds

See the separate Cancellation & Refunds page. Urgent repair/maintenance visits specifically requested by the consumer can be excluded from the normal cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations; this does not automatically extend to additional non-urgent services or goods beyond necessary replacement parts.

9. Complaints

Raise complaints promptly using the process on the Complaints page. We will investigate the job records, communications and engineer notes.

10. Legal review

These are starter terms, not a substitute for solicitor review. Finalise them for your actual company, insurance, subcontractor model, payment process and services before launch.
